Temperatures are dropping in the UK with flurries of snow and icy winds forecast throughout January. With this in mind, we invite you to warm up with our super-hot prices on all things cosy for you and your family.
For your home
Gaps in windows and doors let the heat out and the cold in, so show the draughts who’s boss and save energy with a traditional draught excluder. We stock many different styles but this retro camper van and moped design is one of our favourites (matching seat pads available).
Speaking of heat, who doesn’t love sitting by a roaring fire watching the snow and frost from a safe distance? Make the task of firewood collection and storage easier with a heavy duty log bag. Made from sturdy canvas, it has a strong carry handle and can be folded when not in use.
Keep warm on the colder nights with a long-sleeved nightdress from Slenderella. Made from soft jersey cotton and available in two colours all the way up to a size 22.
Add a further touch of luxury to your loungewear with a soft coral fleece dressing gown, also from Slenderella. Available in a range of colours and in sizes small – XXL. These long fluffy dressing gowns have a detailed shawl collar for extra warmth.
For your furry friends
Do you have a special companion at home who also loves to snuggle up? Offer them that little bit of comfort and warmth with a Gor Pets blanket. Available for cats and dogs, these soft blankets have fleece to one side and faux fur to the reverse for maximum snuggle time.
For those with a new addition to the family, this warm and cosy pup and kitten bed from Petface features a fluffy faux fur cushion to help your new pet relax and sleep comfortably. Available in two sizes and machine washable – great for those little accidents!
For the yarn-lovers
Work up a winter jumper or cardigan with some rustic mega chunky wool from James Brett. This wool is super thick and gives a flecked detail to finished garments – the perfect look for fighting off the frost.
Treat the little nipper in your life to a handmade unicorn jumper complete with horn, ears, and tail with this creative knitting pattern from King Cole. The knitting leaflet also includes instructions on how to make a unicorn cardigan too – great for little imaginations and creative play.
On a side note, have you entered our wool stash competition yet? Entries are open until Friday 2nd February 2017.
For the garden
The Songbird Survival charity says that winter “is the hardest time of year for our feathered friends, natural food sources are in short supply and with it being so cold, they need extra food to keep their energy levels up to stay warm”. You can help by filling a bird feeder and keeping it stocked with suet balls throughout the winter months. Our Best for Birds feeder can hold five suet balls and has a zinc cap to keep the balls dry.
If you’re sowing and growing this January, why not treat yourself to a gardening set? Each set contains a five pocket adjustable tool apron, matching tool bucket with pockets, and matching kneeler with carry handle. Available in two colours with further matching items available.
