Crochet terms in the United Kingdom are slightly different to the United States which can be a little confusing now patterns are freely available internationally online. A rule of thumb is if a pattern mentions the Single Crochet (sc) it will be a pattern using US terms as we call this a Double Crochet (dc) here in the UK. I thought it would be useful to write this crochet term conversion chart below as an invaluable guide for newbie crocheter and a reference for the seasoned crochet queen!
